Here is a sample of The Oatmeal.

If you had a terrible day at work,
        And / or
If your dog launched a smelly claim on the carpet,

Well The Oatmeal is definitely for you !
Enjoy !

Slow Food  is a wonderful idea for our planet.
How moving it is to watch little strawberries growing and getting ripe (and discovering that the wasps ate them all ! #?!*#Hate wasps #?!*#), or how nice it is to tenderly water baby lettuces in your back garden (and finding none the next morning because an unknown fast-feeding beast swallowed them up ! #?!*#Hate beasts #?!*#)

But it can be a terrible idea for a whippet...which just doesn't understand it in the way we do !

Eliot never eats ! Either he gobbles his biscuit or he nibbles at his food. He is hardly ever hungry and can become quite thin without seeming too much bothered about it.
As the two others swallow their food down, he just lays and waits (and he can wait a loooong time...)

What is he waiting for ?

For Charlie !!!
Who comes next to him and watches him eat. If Charlie leaves, he just stops !
If Charlie comes closer, he'll do his very impressive puppy-growl (doesn't even know how to growl properly !) and will eat a little more.

Puzzling, isn't it ?
We're still looking for a plausible explanation...Have you got one ?

It's difficult to believe that in the middle ages there used to be luxuriant forests here and not an empty desert made of rocks (and cows in summer.)
People say that these forests hosted terrible thieves who robbed pilgrims on the Saint Jacques de Compostelle way.

A few centuries ago monks solved the problem : no trees, no thieves !

The majestic Fury
This coat was actually for friends.

Again, all the fabric used to make this coat came from a charity (see their actions).

Well actually, as we've got only one life, it just feels good to be useful twice.

The teacher's point of view :

Going abroad is educational for many reasons.

- Pupils speak a foreign language in their families.
- They can see in real the places mentioned in class.
- They understand that English is not only used by knights to kill wild monsters in video games or by R'n'B singers to treat ladies ungentlemanly, but it is also used by real people who need to find the
nearest loo !

The pupil's point of view :

- A British person talking to you in a museum is scary --> Coping Strategy : run to the nearest teacher and tell that a stranger talked to you but it's ok : you've survived.
- London parks are great because there are squirrels that climb everywhere and pelicans that bite people's leg.
- Babies are ill-treated because they are walked on leashes --> Moral Question --> Coping Strategy : run to the nearest teacher and tell how wrong people are to treat little ones like dogs. Teacher must explain.
- Fish & Chip is delicious.
- The Queen Mary's Dolls' House is wonderful and her guards are too serious (too bad you can't touch them.)
- Oxford Castle has the best souvenir shop : it sells pencil sharpeners which have the shape of tiny catapults - very useful in class ! (The shop must have sold all its stock.)
- Sweets + Soda + Boat = many to-and-fros to the toilets.
- British humour is very funny (
see below.)

Well, education is a matter of view points...at least, they'll have nice memories !
