Pell-mell pictures...

A week away from the pack but most importantly a week away from the second beloved set of hands which writes the blog with me - we've never been separated for eight years ! That was quite a challenge.

I was awfully stressed about this trip but it actually went smoothly like in a (exhausting) dream !

First of all, the kids - although they were a bunch of 52 kids of 13 / 14 years old - were really great. They showed me that they were responsible and trustworthy teenagers - I was proud of them and I told them.

Secondly, the British families did a nice job and I was lucky enough to be hosted by a lovely couple with four dogs, three lurchers were among them !
It's difficult to explain but it immeditely made me feel at ease : the dogs worked like prozac soothing my tired nervous-system and they helped me to stay optimistic about the whole trip. And like in a virtuous circle, the pupils felt it. (As pupils tend to behave badly when they feel insecure, I had to do my best to feel as confident as possible to calm 52 kids down !)

So, I thank my family - they were amazing cooks - and their nice and quiet dogs which they rescued (see SouthernLurcherRescue.)

Well, I think the world needs more people like that !

Elias - Eliot

Eliot : I swear, I'll be nice... as usual.

(Elias doesn't care being nice, it's so has-been...
And Eliot looks honest ...but is he ?)

Missed again !! Ah Ah !!

Drool-smeared dogs :

Fighting is a lot about smearing the enemy's head all over
with angry and ferocious dribble...

The wetter one has lost !

Snow can be nice, like in fairy tales for example (except when the Little Red Riding Hood gets lost in the forest) or like in ski resorts (if you know how to ski without hugging a fir tree.)

But snow coupled with hair-modelling wind that feels very much like blizzard  makes one feel like curling beside the stove (or in the stove in extreme cases.)

Puzzled whippets are waiting for Godot (Godot being another name for our Siberian spring), looking a bit downcast : How come ? Can't you fix that ?
Why is it so bad and ugly and paw-freezing out there ?
